Case Study : Custom Web Site Design

GOAL: To create a design template which would provide a consistent design and navigation for a massive database driven web archive for a famous musician, Cy Walter.

STRATEGY: We created a simple but elegant template which reflected the art deco style of the New York City music scene in Cy Walter's era, and used a piano design as the navigation. Many of the photos and mementos in the archives would be black and white so the gray-red-black style would provide a good showcase backdrop. We created a simple photo collage for the home page, from images in the archive.

The database developer, Richard Behrens, was given a template and style sheet, along with graphics which he could use to title the individual sections. The incredible treasure trove of material was then catalogued and archived by him and Cy's son, Mark Walter.
